Welcome to the New York State Board of Law Examiners (BOLE) Applicant
Services Portal

All transactions, including your application to sit for the bar examination,
application by transferred UBE score, application for admission on motion, registration for the New York Law Course,
registration for the New York Law Exam, and request for foreign evaluation must be made through the Applicant
Services Portal.

You must have a BOLE Account to access the Applicant Services Portal.

Existing Accounts: If you submitted either an electronic
application to sit for the New York bar examination or an Online Request for
Foreign Evaluation after 2008, you already have a BOLE Account. Click on LOGIN
and enter the email address and password that you used when you created your
account. If you do not remember your password click on Reset Password and you
will be prompted to reset your password. If you do not remember the email
address that you used when you created the account you must make a written
request to update your email address by fax (518) 452-5729, or by mail. Do not create a new account.
All communications from the Board will be sent only by email and only to the email
address you provided in your BOLE account. It is your responsibility to keep
your email address up to date in your BOLE Account.

New Applicants: Click on CREATE BOLE ACCOUNT. To create a BOLE
Account you must provide the following information:

Name: Enter your legal name exactly as it appears on the
official government photo identification that you will use for identification on
the date of the examination.

Date of Birth: Please be careful to enter your correct date of
birth as it appears on your official government identification (mm/dd/yyyy).

Email Address: You must have a valid email address. Use an
email address that you check frequently as all communication from the Board will
be sent only by email and only to the email address that you provide in your
BOLE account.

NCBE Number: You must have a valid NCBE Number. If you do not
already have an NCBE Number, or if you do not remember your NCBE Number, you may
obtain the NCBE Number at
https://auth.ncbex.org/account/create.

Upon creation of the BOLE Account, an auto-generated email will be sent to the
email account that you supplied. The confirmation email will include your unique
BOLE Identification Number (BOLE ID) and a temporary Password. Save the BOLE ID
and Password in a safe and accessible location as you will be required to use
the BOLE ID in all future communication with the Board. The email will also
include instructions for changing your temporary password the next time that you
log into your BOLE Account.
